Job Summary

The Modernization Fixtures Drafter supports the design and documentation of elevator fixture packages for modernization projects. This role is responsible for converting contract-specific design requirements into accurate AutoCAD drawings using established standards, templates, and work blocks. The drafter produces project-specific fixture drawings, creates factory build files, and collaborates with local office personnel to ensure all customer and project requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities



  • Create, modify, and maintain technical fixture drawings using AutoCAD
  • Translate contract-specific data and design specifications into accurate layouts and drawings
  • Develop base configuration drawings and customize them to meet project requirements
  • Produce approval drawings, revisions, and final construction packages
  • Create build files and documentation required by manufacturing facilities
  • Review project requirements to ensure compliance with standards and customer expectations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including local offices and internal stakeholders
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations
  • Maintain organized documentation, revision history, and drawing records
  • Follow established drafting standards, processes, and templates



Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting
  • Solid understanding of technical drawings, layouts, and drafting principles
  • Demonstrated experience translating specifications into detailed drawings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently in a deadline-driven environment



Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline preferred
