Pay for this position varies and depends on experience, pay scale between $75,600 -$165,200. Please see table: meaningful link text Application Window Open date: July 24, 2026 Next review date: Monday, Aug 24, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Oct 1, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Dr. Brandy Lipton is seeking applications for an Associate Specialist/Specialist to join the Department of Health, Society, and Behavior within the University of California, Irvine's Department of Health, Society, and Behavior. The Specialist would work closely with Dr. Lipton on a variety of projects that examine the effects of public policies on population health and well-being using quasi-experimental research methods. This position is funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health. Background: The Specialist will be expected to contribute to research examining the impacts of state-level Medicaid policies using a variety of survey and administrative data sources (e.g., Medicaid claims data). Candidates for this position should have experience in working with large datasets including data cleaning, coding, and statistical analysis. There will be opportunities to collaborate on manuscripts intended for publication in high-impact policy, economics, and medical journals. Remote work is possible and negotiable, but some in-person presence is strongly preferred. Specific Duties: Qualifications Basic qualifications
