Position Summary

The Sales Coordinator's primary role is to provide order management, backlog management and/or logistics support for Customers and Sales associates in assigned capital equipment value stream in support of the Healthcare business. The individual is responsible for managing orders from quote to delivery through install with direct interaction with Planning, Sales, Manufacturing, Traffic and Service to ensure fulfillment of Customer requirements. The Sales Coordinator will support on-going business operation of Sales associates, ensure requests are met and quality targets are reached and sustained.

What You'll Do as a Logistics Coordinator
  • STERIS liaison for capital equipment business requiring a high level of attention, initiative and follow up
  • Responsible for order and backlog management, including resolving hold issues, and/or logistics coordination through install
  • Ensure all actions are completed in accordance with department policies and procedures
  • Facilitate the order process for new Customers by completing and submitting credit applications and requests for account setup
  • Review and validate information on purchase orders utilizing the contract review process
  • Accurately and efficiently record pertinent information into Oracle order management system
  • Review and prepare special billing documentation
  • Manage Customer capital and consumables order backlog with daily review and management of scheduled ship dates, investigation and resolution of credit process holds as well as order changes to ensure Customer expectations are met; required to run reports related to the overall management of orders
  • Manage order entry, holds resolution, or logistics coordination in a timely manner to meet Customer requirements
  • Verify order details are correctly set up and coordinated for product shipment from various plant and vendor locations to designated delivery point
  • Obtain and document all delivery requirements per the Customer's specifications
  • Collaborate with Sales, Planning, Credit, Customer Service Management, Logistics and the Customer to resolve outstanding order management issues
  • Process and/or revise quotations to ensure GPO contract requirements are met
What You'll Do as a Logistics Coordinator - cont'd
  • Assist Sales with processing and forwarding any necessary paperwork including credit applications, quotes, SBW, etc.
  • Provide data to Sales, including, but not limited to, pricing, order status, holds issues, backorders, freight quotes, order consolidation, and delivery information
  • Work with Planning to ensure availability and timely delivery on capital equipment orders
  • Work with Traffic to expedite emergency shipments, coordinate deliveries and acquire freight estimates
  • Ensure orders are consistent with STERIS Terms and Conditions and work with Sales to resolve exceptions
  • Develop and maintain business relationship with Customers and Sales while providing excellent Customer Service
  • Investigate product complaints and work with RMA team to ensure timely action and resolution
  • Utilize available resources to update and increase knowledge on products, systems, procedures and corporate initiatives
  • Support the continuous improvement initiatives within the function, including standard work and the root-cause-countermeasure process in support of key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Work within the department's Lean tracking tools and provide data as needed for monthly documentation of performance against agreed-upon KPIs
  • Participate in Kaizen events when appropriate and supports the action plans that result from those events
  • Other duties as assigned

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 2 years business experience with direct contact with Customers, Vendors and Sales

Preferred:

  • Bachelor degree in Business or Business discipline preferred
  • 1 to 2 years project management experience preferred

Pay range for this opportunity is 48,500.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
