Location: Whitesboro, NY (Onsite)

Responsibilities:

  • Performs major setups and operates various machines that essentially remove metal by the process of electrolysis. The employee may operate one or more machines as production and the task warrant.
  • The operator will be required to monitor various mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical gages and periodically record observations made.
  • Various operating parameters, such as speeds, feeds, pressures voltages, temperature etc. are established by authorized engineering personnel.
  • Must be able to follow process sheets.
  • Must be able to make minor adjustments and repairs and be responsible for good housekeeping.
  • Must keep good records with regards to routers, run sheets and data recording.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Must follow all safety and health policies including use of all required PPE required for this position.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to remain focused on tasks throughout scheduled hours
  • Must be a self-motivated and dependable worker
  • 2-3 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing techniques in metal fabricating, welding, or machining
  • Working knowledge using thermal spray equipment preferably plasma, HVOF, and flame spray
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
  • Manual dexterity
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and participate with team members
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to identify problems and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Working Conditions:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision.
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Subject to noise/ vibration/ moving mechanical parts/ moving vehicles.
  • Subject to fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

The permanent shift will be a rotating 12 hour Team 2 schedule, as follows:
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 6pm - 6am Week 1
Saturday, Sunday, Monday 6pm - 6am Week 2

You will be required to train on the 12 hour Team 1 schedule, as follows:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6am-6pm Week 1
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 6am - 6pm Week 2
