Position Overview

The Director, Supply Chain Material Planning & Programs will provide strategic leadership and functional expertise for material planning, demand and supply planning, MRP, Inventory optimization and material availability within commercial programs. This role will serve as a subject-matter expert and leader in Material Planning, ensuring the right material is available at the right time to support engine and MRO activities, customer commitments, and business growth. The Director will lead the development and standardization of planning processes, systems, tools, and performance metrics while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and Global Supply Chain

The Director will work with Enterprise SIOP to drive a discipline planning process, improve forecast accuracy and inventory productivity, proactively identify material constraints and shortages, and establish the planning capabilities required to support StandardAero's growth and operational

objectives.

What You'll Do

• Lead Material Planning for commercial programs, developing a high-performing planning team and establishing standardized planning practices, tools, systems, and governance.
• Own the end-to-end material planning process, translating production requirements, customer demand, forecasts, shop capacity, and supplier capacity into actionable material requirements.
• Partner with the Enterprise SIOP leader and cross-functional stakeholders to align demand, production capacity, material availability, inventory, supplier capacity, and financial objectives.
• Establish and maintain planning parameters and strategies, including lead times, safety stock, order policies, lot sizes, minimum order quantities, planning horizons, and MRP settings.
• Develop demand, supply, and material forecasts, using ERP/MRP data, historical demand, and analytics to identify material requirements, constraints, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead proactive shortage and supply risk management, including past-due orders, production-critical shortages, recovery plans, escalation, and risks to production or customer commitments.
• Partner with Procurement, Supplier Management, OEMs, and strategic suppliers to convert material requirements into executable supply commitments and improve supply continuity and lead-time visibility.
• Optimize inventory investment and working capital while maintaining material availability, including management of safety stock, excess and obsolete inventory, and inventory segmentation.
• Establish and monitor Material Planning KPIs, including material availability, schedule attainment, MRP adherence, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, past-due orders, shortages, supplier lead-time performance, and production interruptions.
• Lead continuous improvement and team development, including planning process standardization, system enhancements, data-driven decision-making, coaching, technical development, and succession planning.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Material Planning, Supply Chain Planning, MRP, or Operations Planning.
• 5+ years of direct leadership experience in Material Planning or Supply Chain Planning, including responsibility for planners, planning processes, and material availability.
• 5+ years of experience using MRP/ERP planning systems, including demand planning, supply planning, planning parameters, exception management, inventory planning, and/or master data.
• 5+ years of experience managing material requirements involving long-lead-time components, constrained supply, shortages, and/or production-critical materials.
• Experience implementing or managing material planning or inventory initiatives that improved material availability, inventory performance, forecast accuracy, planning performance, or production schedule attainment.
• Experience using data and analytics to identify material risks, constraints, trends, and opportunities and develop recommendations or corrective actions.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Logistics, Finance, and/or suppliers/OEMs.
• Experience with inventory optimization, including safety-stock methodologies, excess and obsolete inventory, working capital, and inventory segmentation.

Desired Skills

• Experience in aviation, aerospace, MRO, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with FAA/EASA Part 145, AS9100, ITAR, or similar regulatory requirements.
• MBA or other advanced degree.
• CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma, or other relevant professional certification.
• Experience leading planning system implementations, process standardization, or organizational change.
• Experience presenting material risks, supply constraints, inventory exposure, and recovery actions to senior leadership
