The Warehouse Manager leads and supports the Parts Distribution personnel and Warehouse operations. You will also work closely with internal and external customers to promote superior quality, safety, and service.This position functions as a working manager, balancing leadership responsibilities with direct involvement in daily operations and team tasks. The individual is expected to provide hands-on support while managing priorities, performance, and overall team success.
What You Will Do in This Role:
  • Direct the daily activities of Parts Distribution employees, including the assignment of duties to employees, operational safety, scheduling break periods, work hours, and vacations.
  • Support the Parts Distribution employees by assisting with all aspects of the assigned inbound or outbound processes.
  • Create and achieve, with management, a yearly plan of objectives and goals for assigned inbound or outbound processes.
  • Maintain open communication with customers, employees, and Caterpillar by gaining feedback to identify their needs and proactively seek to support their needs.
  • Operate forklift and hand trucks to load/unload orders, as well as transporting parts and materials to other areas within the parts warehouse.
  • Resolve any inventory issues through appropriate company processes.
  • Maintain the profitability levels set by management.
  • Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.

What Will Put You Ahead:
  • Prior warehouse experience, parts experience or experience in other related field
Physical & Working Requirements
This role involves active work in a parts warehouse and distribution environment. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. These functions may include:
  • Occasional lifting of heavier items up to 75 pounds
  • Regularlifting and carrying of parts weighing up to 50pounds
  • Standing and walking for extended periods, with occasional sitting
  • Frequent bending, crouching, and reaching at various heights, including overhead
  • Pushing and pulling materials or equipment with moderate to heavy force
  • Climbing stairs, ladders, or equipment to access inventory
  • Frequent use of hands for gripping, handling, and fine motor coordination when working with parts and tools
  • Maintaining full range of motion, including neck and trunk movement and rotation
  • Performing tasks requiring coordination of hands, feet, and visual focus
  • Operating warehouse tools and equipment safely (e.g., carts, lifts, or other department tools)
  • Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Communicating effectively to support team coordination and customer needs
  • Driving or traveling for business purposes, depending on location and role responsibilities
Post-Offer, Pre-Employment Requirements
