Position Summary

The Physician Engagement Specialist is responsible for collaborating, facilitating, and maintaining key relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a successful transition for new MultiCare employed physicians and APPs and a supportive and responsive experience for all Medical Staff/Medical Group members. The Physician & APP Engagement specialist assists to enhance awareness of MYM's service lines and employed specialists and grow referrals through outreach efforts and will coordinate special events as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all areas of provider onboarding experience from the initial 90 days of active employment and for off-boarding. Assists in interview process by being the main point of contact for the provider and other guests during site visits
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned providers to lead their navigation through the onboarding and offboarding experiences: including responding to general questions, identifying and resolving issues, and researching and resolving inquiries from the physicians and APPs
  • Collaborates with stakeholder departments that have influence on the provider's operations and leadership.
  • Attends new employee orientation for new hire providers and ensures all appropriate paperwork and competencies are documented appropriately
  • Ensures new physicians/APPs have access to all required IS&T systems and resources in partnership with the MHS Physician/APP Pre-Employment team and the Physician/APP Development & Engagement Consultant. Facilitate introductions of new physicians/APPs across the Medical Staff.
  • Plans and promotes Medical Staff recognition and professional development events to improve physician/APP engagement and retention. Coordinates networking opportunities across the Medical Group.
  • Ensure compliance with the Non-Monetary Compensation to Physician guidelines.
  • Supports the strategic marketing and service/access objectives of the organization.
  • Coordinates local visits by MHS leaders and physicians/APPs to promote service line awareness, relationships, and referrals.
  • Assists in growth and retention (with input on retention) initiatives by scheduling events/meetings for targeted service lines as directed by the CMO and COO
  • Maintains a high degree of awareness and knowledge of MHS hospitals, services, polices, and programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business Administration or related field required; related experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Four (4) years of progressive administrative experience in Clinical Operations, Human Resources, Provider Recruitment or Medical Staff Services required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $65,145.60 - $93,787.20 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
