Staff Attorneys

Northwest Legal Services (NWLS) is seeking qualified and Diverse applicants for (2) full-time Staff Attorneys in our Erie, PA office. We are a PA nonprofit legal aid organization providing free legal services to low-income people with civil legal issues in 10 NW counties of PA.

Caseload to include domestic violence, family law, public benefits, housing, and other areas of civil public interest and poverty law. The Erie office primarily covers cases in Erie County, but travel to other counties may be required from time to time. Extensive training provided for new attorneys. Applicants must be admitted or eligible to practice law in PA, have plans to take or recently taken the PA bar exam to be considered. The ability to speak a language other than English is a plus. Starting salary for 0-3 yrs experience is $65,000-$67,000+. We offer and EXTENSIVE benefits package while emphasizing work/life balance to help curb burn-out abd stress.
