Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Systems Analyst III with strong Databricks engineering expertise to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate will build scalable data pipelines, implement modern lakehouse architectures, and develop analytics solutions that support business intelligence and reporting. This role requires extensive experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, SQL, Python/Scala, and data governance best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions using Databricks.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Apache Spark, PySpark, or Scala.
• Develop and manage Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines (formerly Delta Live Tables/DLT).
• Design and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and Delta Lake solutions.
• Develop dimensional data models using star and snowflake schemas.
• Create Databricks SQL dashboards, Databricks Apps, and analytical reporting solutions.
• Implement data governance, data quality, validation, and security frameworks.
• Schedule and manage data workflows using Lakeflow Jobs (formerly Databricks Workflows) or similar orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Optimize workload performance, monitoring, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to present insights and recommendations.
• Participate in solution design, system analysis, testing, deployment, and production support.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of IT experience supporting the design, development, deployment, or delivery of technology solutions.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark for ETL/ELT pipeline development.
• 8+ years of experience in data warehousing and dimensional data modeling (star and snowflake schemas).
• 8+ years of experience with SQL and Python or Scala for large-scale data processing.
• 8+ years of experience building dashboards and applications using Databricks SQL and Databricks Apps.
• 8+ years of experience implementing data governance, data quality, and data security practices.
• 8+ years of experience with Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines (Delta Live Tables/DLT).
• 8+ years of experience with Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture, data lakehouse design, and workflow orchestration using Lakeflow Jobs or Airflow.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in public sector or state government environments.
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional certification.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for data engineering using DevOps and Git-based workflows.
