Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Specialist to support a large-scale enterprise data migration project involving the Nasuni Data Platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Windows file server migrations, Nasuni Hybrid Cloud File Systems, Active Directory, Azure Storage, and Robocopy. This role requires strong project execution, stakeholder communication, documentation, and validation skills to ensure successful delivery of complex data migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end migration of data, including root shares, from existing Nasuni environments to new Nasuni destinations.
• Plan and execute milestone-based migration activities while meeting project timelines and deliverables.
• Perform data separation, migration validation, and post-migration verification.
• Create folder structures and network shares based on approved business standards.
• Advise on the creation of Active Directory users and security groups for new data locations.
• Configure and apply NTFS permissions to support business and archival requirements.
• Coordinate seed server logistics and recommend appropriate server sizing when required.
• Utilize migration tools, including Robocopy, for data transfer and folder creation.
• Validate migrated data, file shares, permissions, and access.
• Configure and maintain standard Nasuni VM eviction settings.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolve migration-related issues.
• Produce process documentation, migration runbooks, and technical documentation.
• Provide regular project status updates and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• US Citizen residing within the Continental United States (Lower 48 States).
• Minimum 5 years of experience with:
  • Nasuni Data Platform
  • Windows File Server migrations
  • Robocopy and Robocopy scripting
  • Active Directory NTFS security permissions
  • Nasuni Hybrid Cloud File Systems
  • Azure Storage Accounts
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • TCP/IP networking
• Experience executing milestone-driven infrastructure or migration projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Excellent process documentation and technical writing skills.
• Experience performing enterprise-scale cloud data migration projects.
• Strong troubleshooting, validation, and migration verification skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise file storage modernization initiatives.
• Experience migrating large-scale file systems to cloud-based storage platforms.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud storage architectures and best practices.
• Experience working with enterprise infrastructure, storage, and networking teams.
