Job Summary:
The Senior HRIS Analyst serves as the functional expert for Workday Core HCM, leading the configuration, support, optimization, and continuous improvement of Core HCM business processes throughout the colleague lifecycle. This role owns the full solution lifecycle for Workday Core HCM initiatives, from business requirements and solution design through configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing support, while ensuring the integrity of worker data and delivering scalable solutions that support global HR operations.
Working in partnership with HR Business Partners, HR Operations, Legal, IT, and global stakeholders, this role collaborates with owners of Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent, Learning, Security, Integrations, and other Workday modules to ensure integrated business processes and data integrity across the Workday ecosystem.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a functional owner and subject matter expert for Workday Core HCM, providing day-to-day support for Core HCM business processes and worker data.

- Lead the complete lifecycle of Workday Core HCM enhancements and projects, including:
Requirements gathering
Solution design
Functional configuration
Testing
Implementation
Post-production support
- Partner with HR Business Partners, HR Operations, Legal, IT, and regional HR teams across multiple countries to understand business needs and deliver scalable Workday solutions.
- Configure and maintain Core HCM business processes, validations, condition rules, notifications, and other functional configurations to support business and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with Workday functional leads across Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent, Learning, Security, and Integrations to ensure end-to-end business process alignment and minimize downstream impacts.
- Support Workday's biannual releases by evaluating new functionality, assessing business impacts, coordinating testing efforts, recommending feature adoption, and implementing approved enhancements.
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve complex data integrity issues, business process failures, and system defects through root cause analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency through Workday functionality.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Workday Core HCM certification or equivalent functional expertise preferred.
Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive HRIS experience supporting Workday Core HCM.
- Demonstrated experience leading the full lifecycle of Workday enhancements and projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, implementation, deployment, and production support.
- Strong functional expertise in Workday Core HCM business processes, including Hire, Onboarding, Change Job, Termination, worker data management, organizational structures, and supervisory organizations.
- Experience configuring and maintaining Workday Core HCM business processes, supporting implementations, system enhancements, biannual releases, and ongoing production support.
- Demonstrated success partnering with HR Business Partners, HR Operations, Legal, Payroll, IT, and global business stakeholders to deliver scalable HR technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of Workday architecture and Core HCM integrations with Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Talent, Learning, Time Tracking, Security, and Integrations.
- Experience supporting global organizations within a shared services environment across multiple countries and regulatory requirements preferred.
Technical Skills & Competencies:
- Deep functional expertise in Workday Core HCM, including worker data, organizational structures, business processes, security concepts, and lifecycle transactions.
- Proven ability to configure, optimize, and support Workday Core HCM functionality while understanding upstream and downstream impacts across the Workday ecosystem.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical Workday solutions and influence cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion in handling confidential information while thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
