Position Details

Starting Pay: $18.50 per hour
2nd Shift

Schedule:
Monday-Thursday: 4:00 PM-1:30 AM
Friday: 4:00 PM-8:00 PM

Job Summary

Safely perform assigned warehouse functions utilizing established processes, procedures, and tools while meeting performance expectations for productivity, quality, safety, and attendance.

Warehouse functions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Unloading
  • Put-away
  • Sorting
  • Labeling
  • Picking
  • Packing
  • Replenishing
  • Auditing
  • Shipping
  • Making boxes
  • Other general warehouse duties as assigned
Job Requirements Qualifications
  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) preferred.
  • One to three months of order-pulling experience preferred. An equivalent combination of education and distribution experience may be considered.
Physical Requirements

The requirements described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee must be able to:

  • Stand for up to 6-10 hours per day.
  • Walk for up to 6-10 hours per day.
  • Frequently reach up and outward.
  • Occasionally climb stairs.
  • Occasionally push and pull up to 25 pounds and, at times, up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally perform repetitive foot movements.
  • Frequently perform repetitive hand and arm movements, including simple and firm grasping, reaching, and fine hand manipulation.
  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and reach with hands and arms.

Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Required Skills
  • Ability to read and understand simple written instructions and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.
  • Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Work is performed in a distribution center environment. The employee may be frequently exposed to vibrations, dust, and moving machinery. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate.

The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and attendance.
