Plan, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair instrumentation systems that support the safe and reliable operation of industrial facilities. The Instrumentation Fitter is responsible for installing and commissioning instrumentation equipment, primary piping and tubing systems, and associated supports in accordance with project drawings and specifications. Utilize strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and troubleshooting skills to support calibration, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. The wage range for this position is $28 to $36 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on knowledge and experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assemble, install, and commission instrumentation equipment, including transmitters, control valves, pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors, and level instruments.
  • Select type and size of material and components according to project drawings and specifications.
  • Lay out, measure, cut, bend, thread, and install primary instrument piping and tubing.
  • Fabricate and install associated instrument, piping, and tubing support systems.
  • Troubleshoot problems in pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic control systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation systems.
  • Inspect and replace defective instrument components as required.
  • Assist with Calibration and testing of instruments to ensure accurate operation.
  • Assist with loop checking, commissioning, and start-up activities.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Minimum of three years' experience as an instrument fitter in an industrial environment.
  • Proficient with manual, crank, electric, and hydraulic tube benders
  • Read and interpret manuals, P&ID, and general arraignment tubing drawings.
  • Operational knowledge of pneumatic and electrical process control instruments.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and during shutdown or maintenance projects when required.
  • Willingness to work in different locations and various roles.
  • NCCER certification is a plus.
