Location: Medical Center - Fort WorthDepartment: PharmacyShift: Varying Shifts (United States of America)Standard Weekly Hours: 40Summary: The Lead Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacy management via regulatory/compliance leadership, training support, competencies, recordkeeping, etc. Serves as department safety liaison. This position assures that pharmacy services comply with policies and procedures of the pharmacy department and state/federal regulations. The Lead Technician should be familiar with all stages of medication use (i.e., purchasing, storage, borrowing/loaning, charging/crediting, dispensing, returns, administration, and disposal) and regulations. Must be competent in general pharmacy operations, IV room, pharmacy automation, narcotic processing and reporting, EPIC processing, records retention & filing, and data analytics/reports. The Lead Technician - Compliance executes competencies for sterile preparation areas, so leadership and embodiment of high standards in the IV room are a must. Must have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - and be a self-motivated learner.
