DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role supports the agency by preparing, scanning, organizing, and processing documents while also assisting with mail services as needed. In this position you will ensure that office operations remain accurate, efficient, and well managed. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Scanning Tasks: Prepare, scan, and upload maps, papers, and photos while performing enhancements and data conversions
  • Document Handling: Operate various binding, laminating, cutting, and folding machines for document services
  • Mail Support: Assist with sorting, delivering, tracking, and preparing incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Equipment Care: Provide routine maintenance for scanning devices and troubleshoot submission or network issues
  • Record Organization: Keep scanning and mail work areas orderly and assist staff by sharing procedures and guidance
  • Data Entry: Input required information into electronic systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
