About the Role:

The Manager, Procurement Center of Excellence is a key leadership role in Subway's Procurement transformation. While the sourcing teams own category strategies and negotiate the deals, the COE Manager is the operating backbone that makes everything work. This includes owning the

systems, data, analytics, reporting, and governance infrastructure that allows Procurement to deliver and prove its value to the enterprise.

This is a hands on, roll up your sleeves role. Subway's Procurement function is being established from the ground up, and the COE Manager will work with the VP, Procurement to identify, source, build the business cases and implement the digital and operational foundation required to scale it. That means leveraging current and evaluating new technologies (spend analytics, contract lifecycle management, project and savings tracking etc.), building executive dashboards and Finance-grade reporting, establishing governance standards and procurement policy, and creating the analytics

capability that turns raw spend data into sourcing insight and delivered EBITDA.

Reporting directly to the VP of Procurement, this role works across all procurement pillars: Corporate Spend, IT, COE, FAF, and Beverages & Snacks, and is a key partner to Finance/FP&A, IT, and Legal. The COE Manager is the connective tissue of the Procurement function: the person who ensures that savings are validated and tracked, systems are running, reports are accurate, governance is enforced, and the VP has everything needed to lead with credibility at the CEO and CFO level.

What You Will Do:

Technology Ownership & Implementation

* Work with VP Procurement, peers and other key stakeholders to lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of Procurement's digital stack. This may be an end-to-end procure to pay platform or specific key technologies such as spend analytics, contract lifecycle management, and project and savings tracking tools. Most critical is how these technologies will be leveraged to the benefit of the organization and Procurement's focus on driving EBITDA improvement

* Serve as the Procurement function's technology owner on an ongoing basis, managing platform performance, vendor relationships, system integrations, user access, and continuous improvement

* Coordinate with IT on systems connectivity, data feeds, and integration architecture to ensure procurement data flows cleanly across platforms

* Champion tool adoption across the Procurement team and business stakeholders through training, communication, and ongoing support

Spend Analytics & Insights

* Build and maintain the enterprise spend cube, cleansing, categorizing, and enriching spend data from all sources into a reliable, analytics-ready foundation

* Develop spend analytics and category insights that identify savings opportunities, track maverick spend, and support sourcing strategy across all procurement pillars

* Produce dashboards and reporting that give VP Procurement and senior leadership real-time visibility into spend by category, supplier, business unit, and geography

* Support sourcing teams with data-driven opportunity analysis, benchmark research, and savings modeling for category strategies and sourcing events

Savings Pipeline & Financial Tracking

* Design and own the Procurement savings tracking methodology by establishing the framework for how initiatives are identified, categorized, valued, tracked, and validated from identification through Finance sign-off

* Maintain the savings pipeline across all sourcing pillars, ensuring every initiative has an owner, a delivery date, a confidence level, and a Finance-validated outcome

* Partner directly with FP&A on savings validation, reporting, period-end reconciliation, and alignment between Procurement's pipeline and Finance's view of delivered EBITDA

* Produce Finance-grade savings and pipeline reports for VP Procurement, CFO, and leadership reviews on a defined cadence

Project Tracking & Governance

* Build and run the Procurement center of excellence office, tracking all active sourcing initiatives, technology projects, and function build-out workstreams with clear milestones, owners, and status

* Establish and maintain Procurement governance standards: policy documentation, process maps, approval workflows, sourcing playbooks, and compliance tracking

* Prepare VP Procurement for leadership reviews, CFO updates, and senior level reporting, ensuring materials are accurate, clear, and ready

* Identify and escalate risks, blockers, and delivery gaps before they become problems; keep the function running on track against its commitments

Capabilities & Continuous Improvement

* Develop and deliver procurement training programs and capability resources for the broader Procurement team covering tools, processes, sourcing methodology, and best practices

* Benchmark Subway's procurement practices against best-in-class peers and identify capability gaps and improvement opportunities

* Continuously improve COE processes, tools, and outputs based on team feedback, stakeholder needs, and business evolution

Skills & Qualifications:

Technical & Functional Skills

* Spend analytics: hands-on proficiency building and maintaining a spend cube; able to categorize, cleanse, and analyze enterprise spend data to surface sourcing opportunities and track savings

* Business intelligence & reporting: experience with BI and dashboard tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to build executive-ready dashboards and KPI reporting

* Procurement technology: working knowledge of spend analytics platforms, CLM systems, and project/savings tracking tools; experience leading or contributing to technology evaluation, implementation, and adoption

* AI enablement: experience in practical applications of AI in support of Procurement - not broadbrush or theoretical, actual usage with defined outcomes

* Savings tracking methodology: able to design and manage Finance-grade savings pipelines from initiative identification through Finance validation

* Project & program management: structured approach to tracking multiple workstreams simultaneously; milestone management, risk escalation, and status reporting across a portfolio of initiatives

* Data management: comfortable working with large, messy datasets; able to build clean, reliable reporting inputs from imperfect source data

* Process design & documentation: can establish procurement SOPs, governance frameworks, process maps, and policy documentation where none exist

* Financial acumen: understands how procurement savings flow to P&L; able to work fluently with FP&A on savings validation, forecasting, and period-end reconciliation

Experience & Background

* 8+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain operations or analytics, or finance or technology that is closely connected to Procurement

* Demonstrated hands-on experience building or managing a spend analytics capability, including data categorization, cleansing, and dashboard development

* Experience with at least one enterprise procurement or spend analytics platform (Coupa, Jaggaer, SAP Ariba, Spend HQ, Ivalua, or similar); CLM and Spend platforms are key

* Track record of designing and managing Finance-validated savings tracking processes, including direct collaboration with Finance

* Experience in a build or transformation environment; has directly or in a support role stood up processes, tools, or capabilities from scratch rather than only maintaining established systems

* Strong project management skills; PMP or similar certification a plus but not required

* Advanced Excel and data skills required

* Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or a comparable BI tool required, and practical application of AI in Procurement

* Experience supporting executive-level reporting and communications; has prepared materials for VP, CFO, or CEO-level audiences

* Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field, or relevant work experience
