The Digital Banking Product and Channel Manager will use analytical skills and market research to identify gaps in functionality and services adoption from our customers, compared with industry benchmarks, and work with our Retail partners, Marketing, etc to develop strategies to increase adoption. The ultimate goal is to leverage digital adoption and usage to increase loyalty, profitability and primacy among our customers.

This role will also identify functionality gaps and work with agile development teams to maximize business value by contributing to the Digital Banking functionality roadmap. Additionally, will develop new user stories for those services and collaborate on user stories that are being worked on. The role will also serve as the "voice of the customer" to ensure the overall product and related functionality satisfy customer needs and work with Marketing and Retail to ensure customer adoption of digital banking functionality

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify key functionality adoption gaps compared to industry benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with business units to increase adoption of digital banking functionality.
  • Work with Retail banking to identify barriers to adoption and develop ways to breakdown those barriers to make adoption easier to achieve.
  • Identify reasons for low digital adoption and design strategies to remediate these issues.
  • Track Digital Banking services adoption KPI's and report on them.
  • Develop specialized product knowledge and serve as the product subject matter expert
  • Communicate product vision, business and technology objectives to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, business analysts, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to develop and execute product roadmap and release plan
  • Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, including development of epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria to achieve product vision and goals
  • Work with business stakeholders and developers to break down epics into detailed user stories that are consumable and testable by a scrum team
  • Align product roadmap to strategic roadmaps and objectives
  • Engage stakeholders to understand and document requirements, pain points, hidden needs, and expected outcomes
  • Assess impact of defects, provide input on decision to fix or defer, and prioritize the fix work from the development teams and partners
  • Partner with User Experience Manager and leverage the Simmons UX Testing Lab for user design and usability testing
  • Assist training and customer support teams in developing training content and communications that allow internal customers to better understand the products and changes that were made
  • Participate in planning activities and partner with Product Owners to ensure alignment on related digital banking capabilities and platforms

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field of study
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst
  • 5 years of experience within the banking or Fintech industry

Skills:

  • Experience with digital banking adoption strategy and execution. Experience in working with and leading cross-organizational teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, professional demeanor, and ability to effectively present information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen and high technical aptitude with ability to absorb and synthesize information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience of working with digital banking vendors and core bank processors.
  • Knowledge of Jack Henry's Banno digital banking highly desirable.
