Summary

In this position, the technical services manager will be responsible for all aspects of engineering and quality to produce monofilament yarn. Will manage, lead and coach the process engineering and quality teams to achieve local site and regional objectives and goals. Will need to manage multiple projects and allocate resources effectively, while aligning with the demands of the business and customer base. Will foster a cooperative relationship with other key stakeholders and meet financial goals and targets.

Responsibilities







      • Motivate and lead direct reports, communicate targets, goals, and expectations to meet site strategy and financial goals
      • Provide technical recommendations and support, both to internaland external customers
      • Provide root cause analysis, in conjunction with the production management, to all external complaints and claims
      • Investigate problems and lead in facilitating recommendations for improvements to ensure highest level of quality of products
      • Evaluate workloads within departments to ensure appropriate facilitation of job tasks and workload to optimize efficiency
      • Manage and execute company IMS objectives
      • Develop and coach team to further digitization, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence

Manage and lead departments



  • Knowledge of monofilament industry experience is highly preferred, but not required, in order to develop and guide team, increasing level of knowledge and ability throughout all direct reports

  • Understands proper delegations when needed to spread workload and make things happen



Qualifications



  • A combination of at least 5 years of related experience in the following industries: Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality
  • Proven leader with previous experience of leading teams
  • Project Management
  • Data analysis background with high proficiency in excel and experience working with databases.
  • English Language Required
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, entrepreneurial skills, and interpersonal skills necessary to operate in a team environment.
  • Lean Management, Six Sigma and/or Operational Excellence training preferred.



Physical Demands

Employees in this position are regularly required to sit, walk, stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel. They are occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employees regularly talk and hear and must be able to lift 10 pounds. Rarely employees are required to lift up to 50 pounds. Safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE are required in designated areas.
