San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is an international, nonprofit conservation organization with two front doors: the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. We integrate wildlife health and care, science, and education to develop sustainable conservation solutions.

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION The Application Administrator I is responsible for daily operations, updates and documentation of the Gateway system in support of the organizations operations. This position reports to the Business Systems Supervisor.

WHAT YOU WILL DO



  • Troubleshoot, maintain, configure, and document software/hardware related to the enterprise Ticketing infrastructure.
  • Responsible for end to end testing, unit testing, development of test matrixes, facilitating UAT, tracking test results and driving issues to resolution.
  • Act as liaison between staff and resources (both internal and external) to resolve problems and answer questions.
  • Ensure proper documentation exists for software system and consistently drive to achieve a comprehensive overall team collaborative process.
  • Assist in writing or providing custom reports and ad hoc data requests to internal customers as needed.
  • Train and educate customers in optimizing the system within operational specific requirements.
  • Update code and configurations in support of new or existing programs.
  • Communicate proactively and distribute accurate deliverables to users within time constraints.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


The ideal candidate brings strong customer service skills, foundational knowledge of PC and Apple hardware and software, and a genuine drive to solve problems. Experience with point-of-sale systems or formal IT training is a plus, but most importantly, we value curiosity, resourcefulness, and a problem-solving mindset.


JOB EXPERIENCE



  • Must have at least one year of experience with application troubleshooting required.
  • Must have at least one year of experience with database and technical support required.
  • Experience with POS, CRM, Ticketing, Membership Client-Server and Cloud Applications is preferred.



EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS



  • High School Diploma Required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or Equivalent preferred.



SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE



  • Ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair pc hardware peripherals and associated software.
  • Knowledge of enterprise business application systems (Gateway Galaxy Ticketing highly desirable).
  • Windows 10 Administration and basic TCP/IP Networking knowledge required.
  • Able to use common business and IT applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS SQL Server).
  • Demonstrated ability to work on highly collaborative, diverse teams.
  • Able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
