OUR ORGANIZATION IS EXPANDING! Join our team-make a difference in the lives of survivors and our community. A Safe Place, a nonprofit comprehensive center serving victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, and other crimes in Warren and Forest Counties is expanding their team. We are seeking compassionate, dedicated professionals who are committed to supporting survivors, educating our community, and creating a safer future for all. We are seeking a full-time ($18/hour with benefits) Community Education Specialist to provide educational programs addressing domestic violence, sexual violence, healthy relationships, prevention, and community safety and professional development to community partners. Candidate must be able to attain a clear PA Criminal Clearance (ACT 34), PA Child Abuse Clearance (ACT 33), and FBI Clearance (ACT 114). Minimum of an Associate's Degree in education, human services, public health, or a related field. Experience in public speaking and ability to engage diverse audiences and facilitate discussions on sensitive topics. Bachelors preferred but will consider combination of education and experience. Must have a valid Driver's license, use of personal vehicle, proof of auto insurance, and registration required. Must successfully complete the state required domestic violence and sexual assault counselor training within the first six months of employment. We are seeking a full-time ($18/hour with benefits) Forest County Counselor/Advocate to provide crisis intervention, advocacy, supportive counseling that includes services to incarcerated individuals, and 24-hour hotline on-call rotation support. This position requires weekly travel between our main office in Warren and our satellite office in Forest County. Candidate must be able to attain a clear PA Criminal Clearance (ACT 34), PA Child Abuse Clearance (ACT 33), and FBI Clearance (ACT 114). Minimum of an Associate's Degree in human services, or a related field. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Must have a valid Driver's license, use of personal vehicle, proof of auto insurance, and registration required. Must successfully complete the state required domestic violence and sexual assault counselor training within the first six months of employment. We are seeking a part-time, 20 hours a week ($18/hour) Forest County PREA Counselor to provide trauma-informed confidential victim-centered counseling and advocacy services to individuals who have experienced sexual abuse, sexual harassment, or other sexual victimization while incarcerated or detained. This position will also work collaboratively with correctional facilities, community partners, and other service providers to ensure incarcerated individuals have meaningful access to sexual assault services. This position requires weekly travel between our main office in Warren and our satellite office in Forest County. Candidate must be able to attain a clear PA Criminal Clearance (ACT 34), PA Child Abuse Clearance (ACT 33), and FBI Clearance (ACT 114). Minimum of an Associate's Degree in human services, or a related field. Bachelor's preferred. Combination of education and experience will be considered.
