Job Summary

Coordinates inbound and outbound logistical operations, including inventory management, warehousing and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products | Controls the commercial impact of the complete range of activities from receiving, locating and dispatching, sourcing, purchasing and optimizing inventory levels | Administers an effective system that meets the organization's inventory control needs through efficient transportation of raw materials, component parts and/or finished goods

Essential Functions

Supervises the organization's logistics operations to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination.
Supports the overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations.
Oversees daily operations for inventory, distribution, transportation, or other processes that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery and customer satisfaction.
Monitors teams and vendors' adherence to service level targets.
Troubleshoots and resolves issues.
Ensures compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods.
Utilizes systems to input and obtain workflow status and information and to identify problems in operations.
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from the HR Directors & General Managers.

Additional Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving equipment, and performing other physically demanding tasks in addition to standard management functions.
The position requires forklift and SkyTrak certification, or a willingness to obtain these certifications to provide coverage as needed.

Required Qualifications

Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
Discipline/Major: Business or relevant degree preferred
Knowledge, skills & abilities: Delivery Management. Inventory Management. Logistics Management. Operations Management. Vendor Management. Performance Metrics. Leadership Skills.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
May be requested to work a different shift.
This position is Safety-Sensitive.

Travel Requirements

Up to 25% travel likely.
