INVISTA is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Multi-Craft Technician at our Seaford, DE site. This role provides the opportunity to apply your electrical and instrumentation expertise to troubleshoot complex equipment issues, support continuous operations, and improve plant performance.


Our Team

You will join a maintenance organization of multi-craft team members that support plant operations across multiple shifts. This position will work on the day shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) and works across a variety of industrial systems and technologies while partnering closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to create value through safe and effective maintenance practices. The position is part of a team that values problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


What You Will Do

  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems that support plant operations.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
  • Calibrate, test, inspect, and verify instrumentation and process control equipment.
  • Conduct required annual calibrations, safety checks, and equipment inspections.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical equipment failures using schematics, blueprints, diagnostic tools, and computerized maintenance systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical equipment, including motors, drives, control systems, and related components.
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions to equipment issues.
  • Follow all applicable safety requirements while working on equipment operating up to 480 volts.
  • Provide occasional mechanical support to assist the broader maintenance team.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Journeyman Electrician License from the State of Delaware
  • Experience performing electrical maintenance in industrial, manufacturing, or military environments
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical and instrumentation systems, including A/C and D/C motors, drives, control systems, and related equipment
  • Experience reading electrical and maintenance schematics/blueprints.
  • Experience in diagnosing electronic systems using scanning and diagnostic tools, multimeters, and computers.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without Visa Sponsorship needs (current or future)

Physical Requirements

  • Required to wear any or all of the following PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, FRC, gloves, and safety boots. PPE use is in accordance with the safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and lift a minimum of 50lbs, repetitively as required
  • Ability to climb straight ladders. Some work may require heights in excess of 100 feet.
  • Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, industrial, non-temperature-controlled, high-volume environment.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Associate Degree in an industrial maintenance-related field.
  • One or more years of experience with single and three-phase electrical repair/troubleshooting up to 480 volts
  • Experience troubleshooting or programming PLCs and HMIs in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Experience with instrumentation calibration, transmitters, control valves, analyzers, positioners, and related process control equipment

This role is subject to pre-hire physical abilities test.
