Description This position will be mainly for taking staff from one building to other buildings for the work that they need to do and also for parts deliveries as well. This worker will also be working on PC/Desktop updates. It will be a mix of a Workstation Technician that is also ok with driving the van. Main responsibility will be deliveries and transporting staff and parts. Shift: 7am - 4pm - Provides efficient and reliable delivery and pick up of parts and equipment and transports departmental staff on Mayo related business between buildings and campuses in Rochester and surrounding Mayo Clinic Rochester communities. - Will assist with parts inventory and sorting when not providing delivery and/or transporting services. - Is responsible to monitor the physical condition of the Equipment Services van and arrange for maintenance services when appropriate. - Interacts politely and professionally with vendors and all Mayo Clinic staff. - This position requires the ability to think and respond quickly while exhibiting good judgment and to work independently without direct supervision. - The ability to respond quickly to urgent delivery and transportation requests is essential. - Requires good communications and telephone skills and basic computer experience. - Must be able to demonstrate sound decision making capabilities when given conflicting information and deal with stressful situations in a calm and pleasant manner. - Some heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds) is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Rochester, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
