The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Clear communication is essential to helping children and families access meaningful early intervention services. As a Translator, you'll help bridge communication between English-speaking practitioners and families who speak another language. You'll provide accurate, timely interpretation during evaluations, assessments, service sessions, and Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) development while maintaining the confidentiality, professionalism, and sensitivity that families deserve. If you're fluent in English and Spanish, have strong communication skills, and enjoy supporting children and families, this role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the delivery of early intervention services. To be considered for this role, you must have a high school diploma or GED, or another qualification deemed acceptable by NJ Department of Health personnel standards for early intervention personnel. Candidates must speak, read, and write fluently in English and at least one additional language (Spanish required) and demonstrate the ability to accurately interpret spoken communication while maintaining the style and tone of the original language. Candidates must be able to maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and sensitivity to families' personal circumstances. A valid driver's license and required insurance are also required, as the position involves travel in a personal vehicle to and from the natural environments of assigned families.
