Position Overview:

This position is responsible for primarily assisting users, handling help desk calls and tickets, troubleshooting issues, and escalating issues to vendors when appropriate. IS Systems Support Specialist is also responsible for setting up user accounts, configuration/ installation/maintenance of enterprise applications, systems, IS equipment and provides training to employees on basic CCNW desktop workflows. Travels between offices to deliver service as required. Supports and adheres to the Cancer Care Northwest Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. This position will work closely with the CIO, the MSP network and other IT vendors in system changes and IT projects.


Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of this job.

  1. Installs, configures and maintains enterprise applications, systems and hardware including but not limited to desktop computers, printers and other peripherals.
  1. Monitor system performance and perform initial diagnostics to ensure reliability.
  1. Monitor IT assets and hardware inventories.
  1. Manages user account creation/deletion in Active Directory and other data systems, user and group security and submits requests for e-mail accounts.
  1. Troubleshoots and resolves end user issues, which may include providing additional instruction and guidance and working with vendors as needed to maximize user productivity.
  1. Works closely with the CIO on new system site deployment, new equipment installation/activation, and network monitoring.
  1. Assist and ensure smooth transition of new systems from implementation to operational mode.
  1. Documents and maintain records of end user issues, support and vendor communications, and hardware/software orders and shipping.
  1. Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems and applications.
  1. Assists in the enforcement of computer security and compliance policies and practices.
  1. Answers Help Desk calls from end users, support companies, and vendors.
  1. Performs additional duties and projects as required.
  1. Develop, present, and recommend projects and necessary equipment to the CIO.
  1. Participate in and conduct meetings with customers, vendors and associated staff.
  1. Take a lead role in the planning and execution of the IT environment with the CIO and the internal IT team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years experience in support of Windows based systems and other business applications, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in support of enterprise resource planning systems, standard desktop applications (MS Office, McAfee Antivirus, internet browsers, email) associated hardware platforms and peripherals, remote troubleshooting and mobile computing, and troubleshooting network connectivity.
  • Any combination of education and experience that meets the minimum qualifications and suitability to perform the job functions.

  • Occasionally: stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, pull/push up to 50 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds, bend, and stoop/crouch
  • Vision: clearly see up to 5 feet with or without corrective lenses and differentiate between colors.

Work Environment:

While performing the essential duties/responsibilities of this job, the employee will not be exposed to any workplace environmental conditions caused by extreme noise, heat, cold, workplace hazards, atmospheric dusts/fumes/vapors/mists, pathogens, or toxic chemicals.

Salary DOE - $27.85 - $57.84
