Job Summary

The Class B CDL Driver is responsible for safely delivering materials to customer locations and supporting daily warehouse operations. This role includes loading and unloading delivery vehicles, pulling materials, operating a forklift following required certification, completing delivery documentation, and providing professional customer service. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and able to balance driving responsibilities with warehouse support.

Job Responsibilities



  • Safely operate assigned Class B commercial vehicles to deliver materials according to scheduled delivery times.
  • Validate delivery directions and communicate with the supervisor throughout the workday.
  • Assist with pulling and preparing materials for delivery.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload delivery vehicles while ensuring materials remain within applicable weight limits.
  • Operate a forklift after completing required client certification and training.
  • Unload or assist with unloading materials at customer locations.
  • Ensure delivery tickets accompany all materials and obtain customer signatures as required.
  • Verify that materials have been unloaded and placed at the appropriate delivery location.
  • Pick up customer returns and validate products against applicable credit requests.
  • Pick up local purchase orders as assigned.
  • Secure and return packing lists and delivery documentation to the warehouse.
  • Review completed deliveries with the supervisor to ensure accuracy and completion.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and regulations.
  • Fuel vehicles as needed.
  • Promptly report vehicle problems, moving violations, accidents, and defects to the supervisor.
  • Assist with warehouse operations and other branch duties as needed.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and uniform standards.
  • Support operational goals and complete other duties as assigned.
  • Work overtime as needed.


Job Requirements



  • At least 1 year of experience driving the class of vehicle assigned.
  • At least 1 year of Commercial Driver's License experience.
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License required.
  • Valid state-issued self-certification designation of non-excepted interstate status and proof of certification required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials.
  • Ability to operate a forklift following required training and certification.
  • Ability to perform warehouse and material handling duties.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to comply with DOT regulations and applicable safety requirements.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.


Work Experience



  • At least 1 year of experience operating the assigned class of commercial vehicle required.
  • At least 1 year of CDL experience required.
  • Previous warehouse or material handling experience is preferred.
