Sales Director, Traditional Investment Operations Solutions

The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking new members on our Alternative Investment Funds accounting team. As a Sales Director for Traditional Investment Operations, you will develop sales leads in the United States for the sale of IMS' Traditional Investment Administrative Services with prospective clients. You will manage sales agendas related to IMS' Traditional Investment Operations/Solutions Services. Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience selling compliance services to asset managers (buy-side). Candidates with 5+ years experience selling fund administration or front office technology to the buy-side will also be considered as well as candidates with 5+ years experience selling traditional fund services or front office technology to the sell-side (i.e., broker dealer community) or wealth managers. Extensive travel is likely.

What you'll do:

Lead generation & sales support

  • You will develop sales leads for IMS' Traditional Investment Administrative Solutions

  • You will serve as key technical sales resource in sales agendas

  • You will work with internal and external counterparts to close sales agendas

  • You are an ambassador to Traditional Services market for SEI

    • Consistent representation of SEI Traditional solution in media & industry events, including panel participation as a subject matter expert

    • Organize and lead Traditional content creation & SEI sponsored events

    • Host, lead SEI sponsored webinars, etc.

    • Build and maintain credible relationships with prospects, clients and industry "Centers of Influence"

    • Organize and cultivate peer working groups through which clients compare approaches and challenges to regulatory reporting

Platform support & leadership

  • You will participate in prioritization decisions regarding application integration into SEI's Traditional Fund Administrative Services/Solutions platform

  • In some instances, you will lead the application integration (including initial vendor due diligence/VDD) into SEI's platform & maintain relationships for those on an ongoing basis (including ongoing VDD)

  • You will nurture and maintain consistent communication lines with leading global regulators

  • You will serve as technical subject matter expert for new and ongoing software development initiatives

General

  • You will maintain a strong working knowledge of asset management and wealth management industries

  • You will effectively utilize customer relationship management system (CRM) and document prospect engagements well in CRM

  • You will assist in RFP responses for GRC sales agendas, and lead in some cases

  • Extensive travel likely

What you bring to the table:

  • BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience.

  • B.S./B.A. in Finance, Marketing or related field; JD preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry.

  • Knowledge of investment management compliance matters.

  • Experience in managing sales process from lead generation to relationship management.

  • Experience with Miller Heiman or comparable strategic selling process a plus.

  • Adaptable to manage fast-paced, challenging sales environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Internet skills.

  • Extensive travel is required.
