Summary of Position

Under the general direction of the Director of Opportunity Development, the Opportunity Development Specialist is responsible for achieving key performance metrics and revenue goals by securing customer/prospect engagement through multiple channels and facilitating client introductions to the sales team. The Opportunity Development Specialist will develop strong and collaborative relationships with sales personnel. This position plays a critical role in engaging key health system decision makers, attracting net-new health system clients and building a quality sales pipeline.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Source new opportunities through outbound cold calls, campaign follow up, emails and social media network outreach to prospects.
  • Work with OD Director, Marketing and SMEs to create target lists, messaging & scripts, timeline/cadence, and performance indicators per campaign. Deliver timely stakeholder feedback and meaningful analytics.
  • Utilize CRM (SFDC), SalesLoft, Definitive, Tableau, Web, LinkedIn, AI and other tools as necessary to research new business opportunities, create market analyses for sales team, identify virtual care opportunities by use case and conduct meetings/calls with prospective customers and Field Sales.
  • The Opportunity Development Specialist will:
    • Work with Field Sales to identify regional target lists and determine collaborative outbound strategy.
    • Initiate continuous outreach (per cadence guideline) to prospective customers via email, LinkedIn and phone.
    • Create market analyses, utilize ROI tools and other targeting methods to support Sales in key client/prospect presentations.
    • Utilize email templates and talk tracks for engagement, introduction and pre-sales communications to prospective customers and contacts.
    • Provide prompt outreach to designated HHS leads following Marketing & Sales events (webinars, trade shows, in-person events etc.).
    • Maintains records of all activities in CRM and/or SalesLoft and provides consistent feedback loop to Sales.
    • Facilitate high-quality meetings with qualified prospects weekly and converts multiple leads to opportunity per quarter.
    • Work cross functionally to deploy the internal strategies, positioning and support for the HHS team.
    • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a high tech (SaaS) environment and/or health care environment preferred.
  • Previous sales or BDR experience required, preferably in the health care industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals and objectives.
  • Disciplined organizational skills and record keeping in CRM systems (salesforce.com experience is preferred).
  • Experience with innovative sales techniques, tools and training.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn.
  • Experience with Tableau, SalesLoft & Definitive a plus.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and organizing workflow to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Possesses listening skills that allow for effective customer and team communications.
  • Able to track key performance metrics, ensure achievement of SLAs and corporate objectives.
  • Systems/process oriented. Ability to oversee/drive a project from start to finish.
  • Strong work ethic and results oriented. Tenacious, and driven to succeed.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment. Ability to function through ambiguity.
  • Works well with team members and cross-departmentally.
  • Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.

The base salary range for this position is$70,000- $80,000.In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for commission, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements)listedhere:Teladoc Health Benefits 2026.Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, educationlevel, work experience, and certifications.This information is applicable for all full-time positions.

We follow a Flexible Vacation Policy, intended for rest, relaxation, and personal time. All time off must be approved by your manager prior to use. You will also receive 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave annually. This applies to full-time positions only.
