Student END Tech - Electromyography Lab

The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Neurology is seeking a Student Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technologist to support the Electromyography (EMG) lab.

Responsibilities

• Escorting patients to and from examination rooms.
• Taking patient histories.
• Performing nerve conduction studies using electroneurodiagnostic equipment.
• Presenting study results to physicians for review.
• Resetting examination rooms between patients.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned

Rate of pay:$15/hour

Schedule:Weekdays between the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm, schedule is flexible and determined with supervisor upon hire. Maximum 20 hours per week during the academic semesters, 40 hours per week during breaks.

Qualifications

• Current participation in a 24-month END Technology program or other applicable program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Experience with nerve conduction is desired.
