SALARY RANGE $63.04 - $95.33WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS Waukesha County Department of Health and Human Services (WCDHHS) is recruiting to welcome an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) credentialed by Wisconsin DSPS to work in a full-time capacity on site within our Outpatient Behavioral Health Services division. The APRN will provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management for individuals diagnosed with mental health and/or substance use conditions, many of whom experience serious and persistent illness, who are enrolled in the division's outpatient intensive case management programs. The programs provide psychosocial rehabilitation and treatment services and include Community Support Program (DHS 63), Comprehensive Community Services (DHS 36), Targeted Case Management, and Outpatient Services (DHS 75). The APRN will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes: Clinical Director, Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Coordinator, Human Services Supervisor, Clinical Therapist, master's- or bachelor's-level Case Manager, Nurse, Mental Health Technician, and other APRNs and Psychiatrists for consultation. Additionally, the provider will consult with the assigned Chapter 51 court services case managers for a smaller subset of patients who are mandated to receive treatment through a court order. While not common, testimony by the APRN in Chapter 51 extension hearings may be necessary. Preferred applicants will have experience prescribing oral and injectable medications as an advanced practice nurse for individuals with mental health conditions, substance use conditions, and co-occurring conditions. Candidate must have a willingness to prescribe medication-assisted treatment to individuals with substance use conditions. Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner or possession of a State of Wisconsin waiver of equivalency is required. The primary work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The primary work location is the Waukesha County DHHS-Mental Health Center, 1501 Airport Road, Waukesha, where the APRN will work in outpatient programs located within the facility. Travel to the Waukesha County DHHS Human Services Center, 514 Riverview Avenue, Waukesha, and other community locations may be required.
