We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic based in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to ensure maximum fleet uptime and reliable onsite operational support. This position will primarily support local operations in the Stillwater area while also providing field service support at project locations throughout Oklahoma and Texas as business needs require.

Job Responsibilities
  • Onsite Fleet Maintenance: Perform daily preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment stationed at the project site, including cranes, earthmoving machinery, and support assets.
  • Rapid Diagnostics & Repairs: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of heavy equipment systems to quickly diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, minimizing project downtime.
  • Site Inspections & Pre-Ops: Conduct routine daily inspections, operational checks, and necessary adjustments on all active units to ensure continuous job-site safety and reliability.
  • Specialized Crane Support: Maintain and service specialized machinery on location - including Hydraulic Rough Terrain cranes and lattice boom crawler cranes - covering mobilization, demobilization, and complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system upkeep.
  • Parts & Inventory Management: Oversee onsite inventory control by researching parts using manuals, submitting material requisitions, tracking shipment arrivals, and processing vendor returns.
  • Safety & Daily Planning: Participate in daily activity and safety briefings, proactively identify and mitigate job-site hazards with direct controls/safeguards and adapt maintenance schedules to align with project timelines.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience as a heavy equipment mechanic (specifically in a field or long-term site-based environment), or an equivalent combination of technical education and mechanical experience.
  • Site Readiness: Proven ability to work independently on a dedicated long-term project site, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing site conditions.
  • Communication & Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, a self-starter mentality, and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with project managers, clients, and onsite crew members.
