Responsibilities

ROBOT OPERATOR

BLUE NIGHTS 7PM TO 7AM

HOURLY RATE $21.01 + $3 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL

Position Summary:

Monitors, manages and maintains Robotic Palletizing System during continuous production; must follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and company rules and regulations; monitors the robotic palletizing machines as they collect and separate cases of product according to SKU and line; monitors the wrapping of full skids by the Lantech Wrapper

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to all safety policies such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE and Housekeeping; is authorized and adheres to all LOTO policies and procedures as established for robotic pallet zing equipment;
  • Ensuring all cases are properly stacked according to product SKU and line; ensures that cases are not mixed on skids
  • Ensure all full pallets are wrapped in plastic by Lantech Wrapper and tagged/indexed
  • Keeps empty pallets and other necessary supplies on hand for the job
  • Responsible for operating, adjusting, maintaining or otherwise interfering with palletizing system;
  • Manages and maintains Robotic Palletizing System area; maintains cleanliness and general good housekeeping of the palletizing area, keeping all debris and dirt swept up; performs preventative maintenance on equipment as needed (example: Clean, Inspect, Lube (CIL)
  • Communicate effectively and in real-time with both Maintenance, Warehouse and Production;
  • Basic/intermediate HDMI screen usage for both robot programming, fault correction and robot performance;
  • Capable of correcting reading and comprehending daily production schedule(s);
  • Responsible for troubleshooting; communicate (as needed) with maintenance for additional resource support; informs Supervisor and Maintenance of equipment malfunctions;
  • Supplies loading equipment with empty pallets; performs pallet inspection to ensure appropriate pallets are being used prior to loading;
  • Stacks cases and/or hand packs manually as needed;
  • Expected to adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and PPE guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained and report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety'
  • Performs other duties assigned by front line leader and/or supervisor
  • Follows all policies, procedures and standard work; supports organizations' goals and values;
  • Attendance/Punctuality; consistently at work and on time for scheduled shift

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

-Successfully operates processing and/or packaging equipment with zero safety, quality or food safety incidents;

-Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly;

- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. when handling pallets; ability to lift to 15lbs continuously when hand stacking cases of finished product;

- Ability to work independently;

- Basic reading, writing and verbal skills;

- Basic computer skills and basic use of HDMI interface. This may include, but is not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Snack point, Infinity and MIP;

-Strong mechanical background

-Strong attention to detail; ability to multi-task and prioritize;

- Ability to work indoors in a continuously warm environment;

-Wear designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job;

- Be authorized and adhere to LOTO policies and procedures as established for Robotic palletizing equipment;

Education and/or Experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Food-related backgrounds are preferred.

Mathematical Skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement.

Reasoning Ability. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay Range

Salary Range: USD $21.01/Hr. - USD $24.01/Hr.
