This is a specially funded, at-will position with a projected end date of 06/30/2027, part of a grant with an yearly review and renewal process based on available funding and the needs of MCCCD.

Job Summary

Join GateWay Community College's innovative Noncredit and Workforce Training team and help support programs at the new Future48 Workforce Accelerator facility. This position coordinates administrative and operational activities, with a focus on business services, student enrollment, and related program services. The role serves as a key liaison between students, instructors, staff, and external partners while helping ensure the successful delivery of workforce-focused training programs.

The home location for this role will be at our Central City Campus - 1245 East Buckeye Road Phoenix, AZ 85034

Essential Functions

50% - Serves as the primary department liaison to Business Services, providing comprehensive oversight of fiscal operations and lifecycle procurement management and coordination. Tracks profit/loss statements, monitoring scholarships/grants, and managing end-to-end contract lifecycle management (CLM) for third-party vendors and district agreements; Drives college budgeting and reporting, establishes procurement timelines for equipment and curriculum, and executes all purchasing workflows; including requisitions, purchase orders, vendor registration, pro-card reconciliation, billing approvals, and participates in the hiring processes for the program

25% - Serves as the central point of contact for noncredit training, providing information and student support with exceptional customer service. Coordinates and assists admissions, registration, course navigation, documentation, and program inquiries; Maintains accurate student records for program documentation and produces professional correspondence.

15% - Coordinates administrative functions such as setup and maintenance of noncredit courses within college or external systems, creating reports, sharing information internally and externally, and assisting with marketing, recruitment or hiring efforts.

10% - Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or a directly related field and one (1) year of experience in researching information, gathering data, performing preliminary analysis and preparing reports.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications
  1. Experience working in a higher education environment
  2. Experience with financial processes in a professional environment (could include budget, purchasing/procurement, third party billing, scholarship/grant support)
  3. Experience with FMS, HCM, SIS, CLM, or related systems
  4. Experience coordinating administrative processes and communications related to the program
  5. One (1) year full-time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two (2) years

Special Working Conditions
  • May be required to travel or be assigned to all GateWay locations
  • May require some evenings or weekends
  • May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen
  • May be required to lift or carry up to #25 lbs
  • MCCCD does not sponsor individuals for any type of work visas
