Position Title: Production Foreman

Reporting to: Production Manager

Department: Production

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Foreman assembles custom built diesel and natural gas-powered electric generators and motorized equipment. The position is responsible for consistent and efficient workmanship in a team environment, meeting deadlines and delivering quality finished products.

RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Organize and keep technicians on task





  • Ensure quality standards on all generator units during product assembly





  • Oversee technician training





  • Follow through with project specifications, serial numbers and other documentation





  • Ensure all assembly areas are kept safe, clean, and organized





  • Open and close manufacturing floor according to business hours





  • Perform other tasks as needed

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS




  • High school diploma or equivalent required





  • Technical degree/certificate in Automotive, Diesel or Welding/Fabrication preferred





  • Strong mechanical skills





  • Good communications skills





  • Good, safe work habits





  • A good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions





  • Strong diagnostic skills





  • Ability to consistently repair and assemble components and equipment




WORK CONDITIONS

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
