Location: Springfield, OH
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Monday - Friday | 2 PM - 10 PM The Real Warehouse MVPs Drive Forklifts. Looking for Forklift Operator jobs in Springfield where your equipment skills keep warehouse operations moving? This opportunity lets you safely transport materials, support inventory movement, and help maintain efficient warehouse and distribution operations. Job Duties
- Operate a stand-up and sit-down forklift.
- Must meet or exceed production standards.
- Periodically checks for quality of product and maintains proper reports.
- Fills out paperwork properly (quality, time sheet, scrap, traceability, etc).
- Must take components or product out of containers, process as assigned, and return components or finished products to proper containers (i.e.: tubs, skids, boxes, etc.)
- Must be able to interact with fellow associates, coordinators & managers.
- Must follow and obey all company policies & procedures.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience Requirements
- Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
- Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
- Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
- Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
- Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
