Job Description

This position is part of the University Shared Services Financial team and provides support to departments across multiple campuses and the UM System. The Finance Shared Services team includes 12 full-time staff members and several student employees. The anticipated start date is as soon as possible.

The Finance Shared Services is responsible for managing all the following functions for supported units:

1. OneCard reconciliation
2. Employees and student reimbursements
3. Payment requests and non-po vouchers
4. Requisitions and purchase orders (PO)
5. Contracts
6. Journal Entry (JE) processing
7. Cash Receipts Report (CRR) processing
8. Supplier Entry
9. Accounts, Receivable, Billing, Invoicing (ARBI)

This position will have primary responsibility for one or more of the functions. In addition, the selected candidate will receive cross-training in other areas to provide backup support and ensure continuity of operations as needed.

Shift

This full-time position is scheduled for 40 hours per week and offers flexible scheduling along with a hybrid remote work option. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, typically between 8am-5pm.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates must have strong customer service skills, self-motivation, and excellent organizational and communication skills, including tact, courtesy, diplomacy, and cooperative attitude.

We are seeking organized, responsible, and ethical individuals that can manage multiple tasks and competing priorities. Candidates will take pride in their work, maintain a high level of accuracy, and consistently provide outstanding customer service.

Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Programs.

Commitment to working with a wide variety of faculty, staff, and students.

Previous experience working with PeopleSoft or similar enterprise financial system.

Ability to manage a high volume of transactions and multi-task accordingly.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Grade: GGS 006
