Job Description
The Coordinator of Donor Recognition & Stewardship supports the execution of donor relations and stewardship activities for the University of Missouri. Reporting to the Director of Recognition & Stewardship, this role coordinates and delivers high-quality acknowledgment and stewardship communications and manages tracking processes that ensure donors are recognized, informed, and meaningfully connected to the impact of their philanthropy. The position works closely with Advancement and campus partners to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent stewardship. This role manages multiple concurrent processes with a high degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: * Draft, edit, and coordinate donor acknowledgment letters and other stewardship materials, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all related activity within the CRM. * Own the execution of acknowledgment processes for assigned donor segments, including first-time donors and designated fund types. Track, manage, and ensure timely completion of related stewardship activities. * Coordinate scholarship stewardship communications, including student outreach, content collection, and preparation of donor-facing materials. Track completion of scholarship stewardship requirements and follow up with campus partners as needed. * Maintain tracking and coordination of stewardship activities related to endowed funds, programmatic funds, and faculty support positions. * Coordinate stewardship workflows and timelines for recurring activities, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule. * Monitor assigned stewardship activities and follow up with partners to ensure timely completion, accurate documentation, and data integrity. * Serve as a liaison to assigned schools, colleges, or units to support stewardship coordination, including tracking requests, facilitating communication, and following up on deliverables while maintaining effective working relationships with campus and advancement partners. * Support donor recognition and naming efforts, including coordination of naming opportunity tracking and assisting with donor-facing impact materials related to named spaces and capital or programmatic initiatives. * Coordinate the Rally Mizzou scholarship process, including administration, tracking, and stewardship-related communications. * Provide logistical and operational support for donor stewardship events as assigned. * Serve as staff liaison to the Mizzou Student Foundation, coordinating student involvement in advancement events and student philanthropy initiatives. * Other duties as assigned.
Shift
Monday - Friday 8am-5pm with some occasional events
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
* Superior written communication skills, including content development, editing, proofing, and the ability to tailor communications for a variety of audiences. * Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with campus and advancement stakeholders. * Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, customer service, confidentiality, and integrity when handling donor and institutional information. * Highly organized with demonstrated ability to manage multiple detailed projects and competing priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy. * Demonstrated critical thinking skills and the ability to evaluate processes, identify opportunities for increased efficiency, and recommend practical solutions. * Ability to coordinate projects and recurring workflows, monitor progress, follow through on commitments, and ensure timely completion of deliverables. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, documentation, and quality control. * Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a collaborative team environment while remaining adaptable to changing priorities and organizational needs. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including proficiency with Teams, Sharepoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, and mail merge. * Willingness and ability to learn technologies used by Mizzou Advancement including CRM Advance, PeopleSoft, ClickUp, and GiveCampus. Prior working knowledge of these programs is a plus.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $19.25 - $23.46/hour Grade: GGS-8 University Title: Advancement Associate II Internal applicants can determine their University title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.
