As an IT Asset Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the lifecycle of the organization's technology assets, ensuring they are effectively managed, optimized, and aligned with business objectives. In this highly visible role, you will lead asset management strategies across hardware, software, licensing, and technology inventory, partnering with stakeholders throughout the organization to drive efficiency, compliance, and cost optimization. You will play a crucial role in supporting cybersecurity risk reduction, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and maximizing the value of technology investments. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: IT Asset Lifecycle Management: Develop and implement strategies for the procurement, deployment, utilization, and retirement of IT assets. Monitor and optimize asset usage to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals. Conduct regular audits to maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records. Work proactively with Procurement and TPRM to keep inventory records accurate and aligned. Software and Hardware Asset Management: Create and maintain processes, procedures, and controls for hardware and software asset management. Track software licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to assess software needs and make recommendations for procurement or retirement. Maintain an inventory of hardware assets, tracking their deployment, utilization, and decommissioning. Develop and report on inventory management metrics. Implement best practices for hardware maintenance, upgrades, and replacement. Perform hardware and software audits. ServiceNow Expertise: Utilize ServiceNow platform for effective IT asset management, configuration management, and incident tracking. Leverage ServiceNow reporting and analytics to provide insights into asset performance and usage. ITIL Practices: Implement ITIL best practices for Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM). Ensure alignment of asset management processes with ITIL framework. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with service level agreements. Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements or changes as needed. Purchase Order Management: Manage the creation and tracking of purchase orders using ServiceNow. Perform audit and reconciliation of purchases. Qualifications Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
