Position Responsibilities

The Payroll Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting Deltek ComputerEase Payroll Services clients across all 50 states, helping them navigate and maximize their use of the ComputerEase software. This role serves as a trusted client resource - providing hands-on support, troubleshooting, and training in an ever-evolving payroll and regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients in performing payroll functions within the ComputerEase application, delivering timely and accurate assistance
  • Take ownership of time-sensitive and urgent client issues, developing effective solutions and escalating complex cases to the appropriate subject matter experts
  • Educate and counsel ComputerEase Payroll Services clients on processes and procedures to promote self-sufficient system usage
  • Leverage internal resources and knowledge bases to troubleshoot and resolve client questions efficiently
  • Complete tax updates and adjustments within client ComputerEase systems as directed by the Tax Team
  • Manage and maintain the ticketing system by reviewing, updating, and closing cases daily
  • Monitor ComputerEase software updates and utilize company training materials to stay current on changes impacting payroll clients
  • Attend internal meetings and adhere to scheduling expectations consistently

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in customer support or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and follow defined escalation procedures
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with evolving software and regulatory requirements
  • Experience using AI tools or platforms to improve productivity, resolve client issues, or streamline workflows

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the payroll industry, including knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations
  • Hands-on experience with Deltek ComputerEase software
  • Familiarity with construction industry payroll, including union payroll or prevailing wage requirements
  • Experience working with ticketing or case management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to train or coach clients/end users on software platforms

Compensation Info

The U.S. salary range for this position is $49,000.00-$70,000.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
