Position Summary

The Accounts Payable Processor will serve as a key contributor to Lifespark's Accounting Department, supporting essential accounting cycles such as accounts payable, expense management, and month-end close. In this Hybrid (In Office/Telecommuter) role, the responsibilities include full-cycle accounts payable processing and payments, monthly transaction imports, and assigned close activities. The position also provides broader transactional and administrative support to the department, with opportunities for professional development and growth into expanded responsibilities.

Compensation Range- $50,000 - $55,000 annually

Position Functions and Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Expense Reimbursement



  • Take full ownership of the accounts payable process for assigned Lifespark Senior Living business units, including:


    • Vendor onboarding and maintenance
    • Accurately enter a high volume of invoices in the ERP system
    • Assist with the preparation and execution of weekly check payment runs
    • Assist with resident refunds for reimbursement
    • Timely and professional communication with vendors and internal community teams to resolve discrepancies or issues
    • Upfront expense coding and allocation
    • W-9 collection
    • Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items


  • Record and import transactions related to expense reimbursements and corporate credit cards.
  • Provide support to employees on Lifespark's expense reimbursement platform, including user assistance and question resolution.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns for Lifespark Senior Living.


Other Duties & Responsibilities



  • Support the Accounting Department by responding to phone and email inquiries.
  • Collaborate with coworkers and provide assistance when workload permits.
  • Complete ad hoc projects and tasks assigned by leadership.


Qualifications

Experience & Education



  • Minimum of one year in accounting or related field
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Understanding of proper period recognition including accrual management
  • Experience with journal entry preparation and posting
  • Previous ERP systems experience a plus (Sage Intacct, Great Plains, Net Suite or similar ERP system)

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in software tools including financial systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to collaborate effectively
  • Analytical dexterity and problem solving

  • Office work is performed in a professional business office environment, well lit, clean, and hazard-free
  • Office equipment is kept in good operating condition to enable work to be done efficiently
  • Occasional travel within the Twin Cities metropolitan areas
  • Available to assist after hours as requested
