Job Description

This is a full-time, nine-month tenure-track position. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate musicology courses such as music history survey and graduate seminars; directing independent studies; supervising master's student research and serving on graduate committees; supervising graduate student assistants in the musicology area; and other standard non-teaching duties such as departmental, university, and professional service. Expectations include publishing and disseminating research through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations and pursuing creative/scholarly activities related to areas of interest and expertise.

Qualifications

Completed Ph.D. in musicology by August 15, 2027 is required.

Candidates will be evaluated on:
* Successful teaching experience in higher education required at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
* Demonstrated commitment to student mentorship
* Record of scholarly productivity-research publications, conference papers, and presentations-at time of application
* Research specialty that complements and expands those of current faculty
* Evidence of an active and substantive research agenda

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary and Benefits: Assistant Professor, tenure-track. Competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Appointment begins August 15, 2027.
