Sales Department
The Sales team is the lifeblood of the overall organization. As a team, Sales is the primary group that touches all our customers throughout the sales process and throughout their entire time with Vantage. Sales interact with various facets of the customer's staff, from executives to field-level engineers. Internally, the Sales team acts as the glue between the construction, operations, and finance teams to ensure that the customer's vision and goals are recognized. Lastly, the Sales team builds industry-level relationships. Our team is responsible for engaging with utility providers, network providers, brokers, industry analysts, and more, ensuring that Vantage is well positioned to meet our sales goals and in the broader industry.

Position Overview

This position can be based remotely in the US.
Strategy Development
* Support the SVP of Sales in developing and executing the strategic vision for North America sales.
* Partner with account leaders to shape pursuit strategies for hyperscale and enterprise opportunities.
* Identify new markets, partnerships, and growth opportunities that align with Vantage's long-term objectives.
* Drive strategic initiatives that enhance sales team effectiveness and improve customer outcomes.

Relationship Management
* Build and maintain senior-level customer and partner relationships across the industry.
* Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring alignment between customer priorities and Vantage's capabilities while also thinking out of the box to create value for both VDC and our customers
* Engage with external stakeholders (brokers, advisors, power sources, analysts, partners) to elevate Vantage's position in the marketplace.

Sales Enablement & Revenue Support
* Act as an overlay resource to help account teams qualify, pursue, problem solve and close deals.
* Provide coaching to the sales team on winning deal strategy and customer engagement.
* Support accurate pipeline forecasting and provide executive-level insight into key pursuits.
* Help drive quota attainment across the region by aligning resources and strategy.

Internal Collaboration
* Work cross-functionally with Engineering, New Site Development, Construction, and Operations to support customer pursuits.
* Partner closely with Solutions Architecture and Engineering to shape responses to RFPs and customer requirements.
* Collaborate with Finance and Legal teams on structuring competitive and compelling deals.

Management & Mentorship
* Provide guidance and thought leadership to account managers and sales leaders.
* Serve as a mentor and advisor, helping develop the next generation of sales talent.
* Drive best practices for Salesforce pipeline management and pursuit governance.

Additional Duties
* Handle additional responsibilities as assigned by the SVP of Sales.

Job Requirements
Education:
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
*15+ years of sales or business development experience, with at least 10 years in leadership roles.
*Deep experience in data center, technology infrastructure, or related industries.
*Demonstrated success in strategic business development and executive relationship management.
*Experience working across matrixed sales organizations in overlay or strategic enablement roles.
Skills:
* Strong ability to influence and drive alignment across teams without direct account ownership.
* Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.
* Ability to manage complexity and provide strategic clarity in fast-paced environments.
* Willingness to travel up to 50% (with flexibility to increase as business needs evolve).

Additional Details

*Salary Range: $270,000-$280,000 Base
* This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
* Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
