Job Description




As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Services in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic educational location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents and support a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and use technology to document activities. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, reporting unusual conditions or potential concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
