Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm and Security Project Manager to lead multiple large-scale fire alarm, access control, video surveillance, and integrated low-voltage projects from planning through final close-out. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, procurement, field operations, subcontractors, commissioning, and client expectations while ensuring installations meet applicable codes, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong background managing complex fire alarm and electronic security projects within data centers, co-location facilities, corporate environments, or other large-scale commercial facilities. This position requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with technicians, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and other project stakeholders. Job Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of fire alarm and security projects, including bidding, planning, scheduling, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and project close-out.
Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
Coordinate fire alarm, access control, IP video surveillance, video management, and other integrated low-voltage system installations.
Lead and coordinate field technicians, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and other project resources.
Review project scope, drawings, specifications, schedules, and contractual requirements to ensure successful project execution.
Coordinate with clients, general contractors, electrical contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding project scope, schedules, site requirements, and deliverables.
Monitor project financial performance, including labor budgets, material costs, purchase orders, invoicing, change orders, and accounts receivable.
Identify project risks, schedule impacts, scope changes, and corrective actions throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage material procurement and coordinate equipment availability with project schedules and installation requirements.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including proposals, purchase orders, contracts, change orders, schedules, and close-out documentation.
Use project management software such as Asana and Microsoft Project to track milestones, schedules, budgets, and project status.
Ensure fire alarm and security systems are installed, tested, programmed, and commissioned according to project specifications and applicable requirements.
Coordinate system testing, inspections, commissioning, and turnover activities with field teams and project stakeholders.
Provide technical and project management guidance to field teams during installation, programming, testing, and commissioning.
Conduct regular project reviews and communicate project status, financial performance, risks, and outstanding actions to appropriate stakeholders.
Visit project sites as required to coordinate field operations and verify project progress and quality.
Job Requirements
5+ years of project management experience within the commercial fire alarm, electronic security, or integrated low-voltage systems industry.
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects, preferably within data centers, co-location facilities, mission-critical environments, or other complex commercial facilities.
Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects, including projects or project portfolios with budgets up to $5 million.
Strong technical understanding of commercial fire alarm systems, including installation, testing, commissioning, and project lifecycle requirements.
Technical knowledge of access control, IP video surveillance, and video management systems.
Experience with security platforms such as Genetec, Avigilon, Verkada, Lenel, or comparable systems.
Understanding of commercial fire alarm and security installation practices from rough-in through testing, commissioning, and close-out.
Experience managing field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and direct client communications.
Proficiency with project management and scheduling software such as Asana and Microsoft Project.
Familiarity with structured cabling, fiber, wireless infrastructure, and integrated building systems.
Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, procurement, change-order management, and financial tracking.
Strong communication, organization, leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Ability to read and interpret project drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and related technical documentation.
Ability to visit active job sites and coordinate field operations as required.
Ability to manage priorities independently while maintaining attention to detail across multiple projects.
PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
NICET Fire Alarm Systems certification is preferred.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
Manufacturer certifications for applicable fire alarm and security platforms are preferred.
Education
College degree, associate degree, or equivalent combination of relevant education, technical training, and industry experience preferred.

Onsite presence at project locations is required as needed based on project and field activities.
Local candidates are preferred; relocation may be considered for qualified candidates.
Candidates must be able to support site visits and field coordination based on project requirements.
Experience supporting large-scale data center, co-location, mission-critical, or comparable projects is strongly preferred.
Weekday travel or site availability after 2:00 p.m. may be required based on project needs.
