Assistant Professor of Music Education The UMKC Conservatory invites applications for a tenure-track position in Music Education at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in Fall 2027. We are seeking a music educator with documented achievements in teaching, music performance, and music education research. The ideal candidate will maintain a balanced activity profile that includes accomplishments across all these areas and will collaborate with colleagues to promote a vision that enriches the training and growth of future music educators. Additionally, we seek a teacher-scholar who will consider the philosophy and approaches of music teacher preparation in an era when technology can provide information and instruction, while sustaining a focus on the essential human connections of music making. Salary is commensurate with background which qualifies you for a tenure-track academic position and experience. This is a 9-month, benefit-eligible, full-time (1.0) faculty appointment eligible for ranked promotion to begin Fall Semester 2027. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
