You will help manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers. By maintaining a visible presence and responding to security-related concerns, you will help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to transportation facility entrances, gates, and restricted areas by verifying credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation.
  • Maintain accurate access-control logs for employees, visitors, drivers, vendors, and deliveries, and report irregularities according to site-specific procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
