As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Customer Service in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier educational and cultural location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for visitors, students, staff, and guests. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, students, faculty, staff, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established museum and educational location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, public spaces, classrooms, offices, exterior areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and support visitor flow by observing entry and exit activity, reporting unusual conditions, and providing directions or assistance as needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
