The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Vice President of Cybersecurity, IT Infrastructure, & Enterprise Architecture provides strategic leadership and oversight of these functions, ensuring they deliver secure, resilient, scalable, integrated, and cost-effective technology solutions aligned with WWP's mission, organizational priorities, and long-term technology strategy. This role fosters alignment across cybersecurity, infrastructure, and architecture; develops senior technology leaders; and partners with IT governance, executive leadership, and business stakeholders to guide technology investments, manage risk, and uphold enterprise standards. Serving as a key advisor to the CIO, the Vice President promotes collaboration, innovation, accountability, and operational excellence across the technology organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide executive leadership, vision, and strategic direction across the Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture functions, ensuring alignment and coordination across teams to drive integrated technology outcomes.

  • Lead through directors and senior directors by setting organizational priorities, performance expectations, and cross-cutting, long-term objectives; developing senior technology leaders; and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Remove organizational barriers, resolve competing priorities, and serve as the executive escalation point for strategic decisions, operational needs, and cross-functional technology challenges.

  • Establish a clear and unified vision and roadmap that balances security, infrastructure and architectural objectives.

  • Provide executive leadership and support the development and execution of cybersecurity, infrastructure and architectural strategies, capabilities, and investments to address emerging threats, evolving business needs, and future technology requirements.

  • Guide infrastructure and platform modernization efforts that improve scalability, reliability, automation, and service quality.

  • Partner with the IT governance team to ensure effective prioritization and execution across teams with a focus on reducing risk, supporting control maturity, and improving organizational technology effectiveness.

  • Support leadership in the effective integration of the governance team's requirements, risk priorities, audit findings, and technical remediation activities into the team's planning and execution, aligning decisions across Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture with enterprise governance frameworks and strategic objectives.

  • Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Extensive knowledge of complex enterprise technology environments, including cybersecurity, infrastructure and operations, cloud platforms, networking, enterprise architecture, engineering, and service delivery.

  • Expertise developing and executing enterprise cybersecurity, infrastructure, and architecture strategies, multi-year roadmaps, and investment priorities aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and of security and enterprise architecture principles that promote consistency, interoperability, resiliency, and sustainability.

  • Advanced knowledge of cloud transformation, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity maturity, automation, resilience engineering, enterprise architecture, and emerging technologies that improve scalability, reliability, service quality, and operational efficiency.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through directors and senior leaders; coach, mentor, and develop high-performing technology leadership teams; and build succession pipelines while fostering accountability, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.

  • Proven ability to align cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and governance functions around shared priorities, enterprise standards, risk objectives, and strategic technology outcomes.

  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the credibility to serve as a strategic advisor to the CIO and executive leaders, influence decision-making, and translate complex technology and risk priorities into actionable business recommendations.

  • Proven ability to serve as the executive integration point across Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, ensuring alignment of strategy, priorities, controls, remediation activities, and execution.

  • Proven ability to evaluate technology strategies and investments by balancing innovation, cybersecurity risk, operational resilience, scalability, service quality, and cost efficiency.

  • Experience establishing strategic priorities, performance measures, and accountability frameworks across complex technology organizations and using operational, risk, resilience, service, and financial metrics to strengthen decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to anticipate emerging technology trends, cybersecurity threats, and industry developments and translate them into actionable strategies, risk responses, capability roadmaps, and investment priorities.

  • Sound financial and vendor management capabilities, including technology budget and workforce planning, investment prioritization, resource optimization, supplier performance, contracts, licensing, and risk mitigation.

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and executive communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical and risk concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Influential leadership style with the ability to secure executive support, guide organizational and technology change, resolve competing priorities, foster cross-functional partnerships, and navigate complex and evolving business environments.

  • High degree of accountability, sound judgment, integrity, and commitment to professional ethics, WWP core values, technology innovation, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • Twelve years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, or related technology disciplines.

  • Eight years of IT management experience, including responsibility for multiple technology functions such as cybersecurity, infrastructure operations, cloud services, enterprise architecture, engineering, or technology operations.

  • Experience leading cloud modernization, infrastructure transformation, cybersecurity maturity, and enterprise architecture initiatives.

  • Experience managing technology budgets, strategic vendor relationships, and enterprise technology investments.

Preferences

  • Five years of nonprofit experience.

  • Experience supporting AI, automation, or other emerging technology initiatives within complex enterprise environments.

  • Experience working within governance, risk management, compliance, audit, or regulatory environments.

EDUCATION

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, engineering, or related field.

Preferences

  • Master's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, engineering, or related field.

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURE

Requirements

  • Valid state-issued driver's license.

Preferences

  • Relevant professional certification, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Foundation or Practitioner, ITIL Foundation, a Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud certification, or Project Management Professional (PMP).

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
