Requisition Number:R162299 RN Transport Specialist - Pediatric/ Neonatal Transport Team - Nights (Open) How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:Provides professional nursing care for patients in the clinical setting. Provides leadership to nursing staff members, and collaborates with other members of the health care team to assure quality care for the Patients. Promotes, plans, directs, and implements medical management and safe transportation for critically ill/injured infant or child, in consultation with the attending physician. What We Require: Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing is required. BSN preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of critical care (NICU or Pediatric ICU) experience. Critical care experience is defined as no less than 4000 hours of experience in a NICU/Pediatric ICU. Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Additional state licensure may be required depending on base location. Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. BLS required. As of 01/01/19 C-NPT (Certified Neonatal Pediatric Transport) is required within 2 years of hire. Must obtain EMT-B within six months of hire and maintain. Must obtain EVOC, NRP, and Haz-Mat Awareness within twelve months of hire and maintain. Must meet and maintain FAA and aviation vendor requirements for flight crew eligibility. Must maintain a driving record in compliance with CCPT Driver Safety Policy and Carilion Risk Management standards. Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP and ACLS must be completed and maintained. PALS and TNCC or ATLS (audit) must be obtained and maintained as required. Other Minimum Qualifications: Must demonstrate proficiency in advanced physical and psychosocial assessment skills required for care of critically ill patients. Must demonstrate strong critical thinking, assessment, communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills. Must be able to perform effectively in high-stress, rapidly changing environments including emergency scenes, rotor-wing aircraft, ground ambulances, indoor facilities, and outdoor settings. Must be able to tolerate flight-related physiologic stressors, including those described in the USAF "9 stresses of flight." Compensation Range: $36.87 - $55.31Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
