PURPOSE:

The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for supervising overall purchasing processes and activities, which include contracting, bidding, and procuring products and services.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders. Develop and maintain related documentation.
• Manage vendor relations, which includes maintaining vendor report card and supervising vendor performance.
• Evaluate suppliers for material, service, performance, and price, which includes qualifying and/or approving new suppliers and contractors.
• Maintain inventory of production materials and perform daily and quarterly reviews of inventory levels. Set stock reorder quantities.
• Act as a subject matter expert on purchasing policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Supervise assigned staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with Procurement and/or Purchasing in Oil and Gas industry
• Knowledge of MRP (material requirements planning) processes in an ERP system
